About Me

My name is Patrick Sternkopf,

I work as a Production Manager at a Magazine company.

I bought my DSLR camera in 2010 and ever since then I started taking pictures of every thing I could. Soon photography became a passion to me and I love just going outside and start taking pictures of any and everything. I love going out to the country side and taking landscape photos. After doing some research online I found out about a technique called HDR (High Dynamic Range) and I was blown away by the results of it. So HDR is probably one my top list of what I love doing the most when it comes to taking photos.

Now 2 years later and after taking 1000’s of photos, reading books, taking classes, starting my own photography website and even working with some great photographers, I am ready to start my own Professional Photography career.

Of course everything will take its time but I am determined to this next step in my life and I have all the support to keep me going and motivated from my wife.

So I hope you enjoy my photos that I take and post here and I always welcome questions and or comments on anything I do.

Patrick Sternkopf

  1. Patrick, I’d like to thank you for visiting my blog site recently, and for liking and following me. I’m like you, very new to the photography and, like you, have only got the basic Canon body/lens and one other (zoom to 250mm). I’m going to stay there for a while until I feel more confident before I add to the collection of equipment.
I hope you enjoy my blog and it looks like I could be asking you for advice re photoshopping etc!!!
    Many thank

  2. Thanks for following my blog! I love your photos and look forward to seeing more of your work! I love photography too and the more I learn about the tchnical side of it, the less I am true to my art. For now, I have decided to stay an ignorant shooter who shoots every day until I can combine what I learn and still be true to myself. Good luck with your journey, I will stop by often to see how you’re doing.

  3. Thanks, Patrick, for following my site, Home’s Cool. I enjoy photography and showing off what accidentally shows up in my lens. Love skewering the wpchallenge topics, too, as you probably could notice. 🙂

I am new to all of this too, I just bought my first “real” camera, a nikon D3100 with the standard lens and then a telephoto lens. all of my pics so far have been taken with a point and shoot or my old minolta that requires actual film! It’s all so overwhelming, so mucg iformation and accesories out there. I love where i live and always find beautiful scenery to capture, any tips would be appreciated since you are into landscapes! Good luck I look forward to seeing more 🙂
